Scholarship Luncheon 2018
We are delighted to announce our first-annual scholarship luncheon was a smashing success. We welcomed over 75 guests this September at the Park City Club. Special thanks to our featured guest speaker, Erica Hall, Chief Impact Officer at The Akola Project.
The luncheon was a celebration as we honored this year’s scholarship recipients – helping them realize their goal of higher education.

Summer in Paris Happiness Hour
The event gathering of local area business women provided networking opportunities, fabulous raffle prizes, and funds raised for women in need.

This enchanted evening provided funding for the educational scholarship program, allowing female non-traditional students realize the dream of higher education. We welcomed over 200 guests Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Omni Mandalay Resort – Las Colinas.

The Agape residences for homeless single women, mothers, and their children, requires a variety of appliances to finish out the homes.

CHIC SNEAK PEAK FUNDRAISING EVENT – APRIL 16, 2014

FINDING A CAREER WORKSHOP – MAY 14, 2014
WWP volunteers Carol Kiburz, Debbie Roberts and Kathy Hermes shared with the young women career and job expertise.
BOOK DRIVE – SPRING 2014
WWP volunteer, Carol Kiburz headed a book drive and organized a library for the residents of The Wesley Inn and their children. Carol credits Stephanie Deker, Director of the Preschool Program at All Saints Catholic Church, for the book drive’s success. Stephanie not only donated books no longer needed by the preschool program; she took it upon herself to organize a book drive among all of the preschool families, soliciting donations for the young moms at the Wesley Inn. Through her efforts and the generosity of the All Saints Little Saints parents, she collected approximately 350 of the 450 books. Other books were generously donated along with a comfy bean bag chair perfect for cuddling with a toddler for a few minutes of enjoyable “mommy and me” time.
SELF ESTEEM/MAKEUP BASICS WORKSHOP – APRIL 8, 2014
WWP volunteers Shena Newman, Amy Schachter and Jana Barrington along with board member Barbara Doucet taught the young women makeup basics for a fresh, professional look.
CELEBRATING BABIES – JANUARY 29, 2014
Board members and volunteers of Women With Promise gathered at The Wesley Inn for a baby shower. The evening was spent playing traditional games, opening gifts and enjoying wonderful food donated by On the Border and Nothing Bundt Cakes. This memorable experience was organized by a great group of volunteers who wanted to provide the women with a traditional baby shower.
Through generous donations we were able to provide each of the mothers and mothers-to-be with baby outfits, toys and other necessary items. We also provided the house with a bassinet, pack n play, two strollers, bouncy saucer and vibrating chair.
For these young women living in transitional housing, a baby shower was something unexpected. They wrote gracious notes thanking us for the wonderful gifts and the fun shower. One young mother wrote, “THANK YOU All that contributed. This was both a lesson and blessing to me. I am truly grateful for this experience. Hopefully, one day I will be able to give back to those just as you did for me. We truly appreciate the support from you all.“
CHRISTMAS AT WESLEY INN – DECEMBER 2013
The Wesley Inn residents had a brighter Christmas because of Women With Promise and our relationship with Neiman Marcus. Lisa Kazor who works for Neiman’s Corporate downtown, and her buyers put together fabulous bags for each of the women and their children. Gifts included cosmetics and lotions, pajamas, robes for the moms and clothes and toys for the children. It was an extra special and unexpected treat for the women and we were glad to create happy holiday memories for them.
CRAFT PARTY – DECEMBER 11, 2013
WWP hosted a holiday craft party for the Wesley Inn residents and their children to embellish frames for the photographs taken previously. Pie Five provided dinner and Michael’s donated the craft supplies.
